History

In the fall of 1950, Edgar Boettcher Jr. turned down a foreman’s position to form Edgar Boettcher Mason Contractor, Inc. The business was started with Ed as the only brick mason, a laborer (his father in-law), a set of brick tongs, 4 plank, 2 sawhorses, and a borrowed wooden mortar box and hoe. His first project was the brick veneer on a home in Saginaw, Michigan. Boettcher Masonry quickly made the move from residential masonry to specializing in masonry services for commercial and industrial construction.

Upon Ed Jr.’s retirement, the business was taken over by Edgar Boettcher III. In 1997 Michael Radosa joined ownership. In 2013 upon Edgar Boettcher III retirement, the business was taken over by Mike Radosa.

Based on revenue, Engineering News-Record has ranked Edgar Boettcher Mason Contractor, Inc. as one of the top 20 mason contractors in the nation for six consecutive years.
